 Exciting Pro-Life News!

On Monday, December 5, 2011 the Alpha Center received some very exciting news: the 8^th Circuit Court of Appeals decided to rehear the case based on the portion of the 2005 South Dakota legislation stating that before a young woman can have an abortion she must first be informed that her risk of suicide increases after the procedure. Leslee Unruh, Alpha Center Founder and President, commented to the Associated Press about the Court’s decision to hear the case, “We see women who suffer after an abortion, many of those women do struggle and have deep depression and many times it does result in taking their own life.” The court will begin rehearing arguments regarding the suicide advisory on January 9, 2012.
